If a message such as "TIRE PRESSURE TO LOW ADD AIR" is displayed, check the tire pressure at the next opportunity.
If a warning such as "CAUTION / WARNING FLAT TIRE" is displayed, stop in a suitable location and check the tires.
Use only the pressure differences shown in the "TIRE PRESSURE" menu when correcting the tire pressures.
After EVERY tire change, enter the tire type and size for the tire pressure monitoring system. Only if the tire and size are selected will the system re-learn the new wheels.
Tires can lose air over time without a tire defect being present. The tire pressure monitoring system will then issue a corresponding message or warning. Correct the tire pressure at the next opportunity.
Each time a wheel is changed, the tire pressure monitoring system re-learns the tires. The system identifies the wheel positions. The current tire pressures will not be available on the multi-purpose display until a period of around 20 minutes has elapsed.
Select tire type and size in the menu "TIRE PRESSURE > SETTINGS > TIRES". The learning process is started. The tire type and size must be selected even if the settings for the new set of wheels are the same as for the old wheels.
If a warning light is observed, check tire(s) and inflate to specified pressures. The resonant circuit remains closed as long as the tire inflation pressure remains above a specific setpoint value for the switch, turning warning light off.
